Vision and Purpose

The vision behind our stewardship campaign at First Christian Church is multi-dimensional. Essentially, it's not just about funds collection, but also about growing a community rooted in faith and generous giving. We aim to increase the individuals and families who consistently contribute to our cause by 10%. We are confident that through this intensive focus on stewardship, we'll witness an upliftment in our congregational discipleship as congregants step forward in faith and contribute more generously. The underpinning belief is that generosity is a form of worship, reflecting God's own benevolent nature within us.

Phase I: Formation of the Stewardship Team (Week 1 - 2)

Determine the roles needed within the team.

Identify potential leaders who espouse our church values – Love Others, Give Generously, Serve Humbly.

Recruit volunteers with suitable skill sets.

Schedule an initial team meeting to communicate the vision, roles, responsibilities, and timelines.

Phase II: Developing a Compelling Campaign Message and Materials (Week 3 - 6)

• Define the overarching campaign message aligning it with our mission and values.
• Create an engaging narrative and visual aids to be used in a series of sermons, brochures, website, and social media channels.
• Initiate a series of short testimonial videos from various congregation members sharing how giving to the church has impacted their lives.
• Develop a clear Call-to-Action for members to commit to regular giving.

Phase III: Communication of the Campaign to the Congregation (Week 7 - 10)

• Launch the campaign during a dedicated Sunday service with a special sermon about God's plan for stewardship.
• Disseminate campaign materials through various communication channels - newsletters, emails, website, social media, in-person meetings.
• Use testimonial videos in church gatherings and on social platforms to create emotional connections and demystify giving myths.
• Run a social media challenge with a hashtag related to the campaign to invoke interest and engagement.

Phase IV: Encourage and Facilitate Commitments (Week 11 - 16)

• Develop an online and offline pathway for congregants to make giving commitments.
• Organize special prayer sessions for those discerning their commitments.
• Conduct a Commitment Sunday where congregants can bring their commitments forward during the church service.
• Offer workshops on budgeting and creating a giving plan, showing the practicality of planned biblical stewardship.

Phase V: Follow-up and Celebration (Week 17 - 24)

• Design and execute a follow-up plan to thank congregants that have made commitments.
• Report progress towards the goal to the congregation regularly to keep them involved and excited.
• Organize a church-wide celebration event once the goal is hit to celebrate the unity and generosity of the church community.
